Start and finish time of webinar
7pm CET

The Child Study Center, which is a part of Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone, organizes a webinar for parents and caregivers on raising teens with positive body image. Social media, magazines, and popular culture have had a major impact on the way adolescents and young adults feel about their bodies. By age 6, girls often start to express concerns about their weight or shape, and this is a concern that often remains with them throughout life. Additionally, body dissatisfaction is a risk factor in the development of future eating disorders. Dana Galler, PsyD, will discuss strategies that parents can implement to boost confidence and a positive body image among teens.
