Over 30,000 professionals working with children in care need special annual training on child rights. In 2016, SOS Children's Villages Romania association trained 141 specialists and created the prerequisites for the training of approximately 4,000 specialists from five counties and one district of Bucharest. Association SOS Children's Villages Romania held on 20 December 2016 10.00 - 13.00 in the European Public Space Str. Vasile Lascar no. 31, the closing conference of the project "Training Professionals Working with Children in Care 'JUST - 2013 / FRAC / AG / 6243.

The project goal was to ensure that the rights of children and youth in the social protection system are respected. To achieve this, the first component of the project looked at developing the capacity of professionals who provide care for children so that they can adopt in their practice an approach based on children's rights. In this regard, our associaion organized eight training sessions attended by 141 professionals from the 6th Directorate General of Social Assistance and Child Protection, National Authority for Child Protection and Adoption, and within SOS Children's villages Romania.
