The Eurochild network is coordinating and organising the participation of children at the FRA high-level conference in Brussels on 28 June. The event launches the Agency’s Fundamental Rights report and will see attendance from around 400 stakeholders from around Europe. This collaboration focusing on children’s participation began with the successful facilitation of children’s participation at an event with the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) in the end of April 2017.

The Agency’s annual Fundamental Rights Report will form the background for discussions. It will take stock of developments since 2007, the year in which the Agency was created. Discussions will explore how the protection, respect, and, especially, the promotion of fundamental rights can be improved. There will also be a special focus on children’s rights.

The Agency, in close cooperation with the Maltese Presidency of the EU Council, will invite stakeholders to a high-level conference discussing fundamental rights issues that are currently high on the EU’s political agenda.

The call for Eurochild member organisations to get involved is open until Friday 5 May 2017.

For further information and selection criteria, please see the concept note and application form in the detailed call here
All costs for the children selected to attend and their accompanying adult will be covered by the FRA.
