The aim of the conference is to facilitate the regional exchange of information on the available data and models of intervention to support children affected by Covid-19 crisis in the wider Black Sea area.

Speakers

George Bogdanov is the President of ChildPact and the Executive Director of the National Network for Children – a network of more than 140 leading Bulgarian NGOs, working with children and families. Mr Bogdanov holds a PhD on Sociology, Anthropology and Art science from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski and has a significant background in working with civil groups, NGOs, the Roma community in Bulgaria as well as with isolated communities by means of the approach for development of the communities. Mr Bogdanov is the author and co-author of a number of reports and researches in the sphere of child welfare, civic organizations, decentralization, poverty and social inclusion, health, social services and antidiscrimination.

Olga Devic  is an activist in the field of protection and promotion of child rights and human rights since her primary school. As a member of Children Club for Child Rights (Club Dx), which operates within Child Rights Center, Ms Devic advocates for the rights of the child in politics and practice with an emphasis on capacity building of children to actively participate in a society. Mrs Devic serves as a Steering Committee member of U-Report Serbia conducted by UNICEF and a Youth delegate from Serbia at the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Council of Europe. Mrs Devic has been elected by more than 100 youth NGOs for the Governing Board of National Youth Council of Serbia (KOMS) as the youngest member ever.

Daniela Maria Boșca (Gheorghe) is currently the Executive Director of the Federation of NGOs for Children in Romania. Specialized in child psychology and children rights, she has been working in this field for over 18 years. She was one of the first Romanian professionals to address cases of child victims of abuse and neglect in a multidisciplinary team. Ms Boșca graduated the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at University of Babes Bolyai Cluj-Napoca, specializing in working with parents and children.  She is currently completing her PhD at “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University of Iasi, Faculty of Philosophy and Social-Political Sciences, Doctoral School of Sociology.

Mariana Ianachevici is the Executive Director of AVE Copiii Association, Board member of the Moldovan coalition for child protection (APSCF) and former ChildPact’s President of the Board. Ms. Ianachevici is an expert in child protection with advanced experience in child-centered policies and services.

 
Gayane Vardanyan is a civil society practitioner with more than 15 years’ experience in various local and international organisations. She joined the child protection sector in 2015 as the Advocacy Programs Manager at World Vision Armenia and has been leading the development of “Share Love, not Violence” public campaign to end violence against children in Armenia.
 
 
Saša Risojević is the Executive Director of the NGO Udruženja that provides social protection services for children and families at risk in Bosnoia and Herzegovina. Mr. Risojević is apsychologist and psychotherapist in supervision and has been working in a day-care center with children who are victims of violence and abuse for seven years.
 
Donjeta Kelmendi is the executive director in the Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection in Kosovo – KOMF. She is a lawyer and has been working in the child rights and social protection field for 13 years. Ms Kelmendi has experience working as advocacy specialist, child rights and social protection expert for many international organisations such as Terre des hommes, WYG International and ECPAT Austria etc. She was the expert in drafting the minimum standards for social services for the first time in Kosovo in 2013. Mrs. Kelmendi is the author of many publications in social protection, child rights and social services.
 
Loreta Keqekolla is Advocacy and Communication Officer at Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection in Kosovo – KOMF. Ms Keqekolla holds a degree in political science and has worked at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare. She has been engaged in projects supporting youth to increase their participation in policy and social development. Since 2018 Ms Keqekolla is in charge of developing advocacy and communication initiatives and platforms with the Coalition of NGOs for Child Protection – KOMF, focusing on child rights, early childhood development and social protection programs.

Ezgi Yaman is ECPAT Turkey/Turkish Network Against CSEC (Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children) Secretary General. Ms Yaman has been working as a research assistant at University of Kocaeli, Department of Social Work. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and is a Ph.D. candidate in social policy doing research social protection policies for children in Italy and Turkey.

Ana Abashidze is a steering committee member of ChildPact. Ms Abashidze is the Chairwoman and trial attorney of the non-governmental, non-profit organization “Partnership for Human Rights” (PHR). Ms Abashidze worked for the office of Public Defender (Ombudsman) of Georgia and a as a national expert of gender equality of UN Women and children’s rights and feminist lawyer. Ms Abashidze is the author of several human rights monitoring and research reports and publications on the rights of children, people with disability, gender equality and women’s rights. Mrs Abashidze received a BSc in Law from the Georgian Technical University and a LLM from Tbilisi State University. She graduated from American University Washington College of Law as a fellow of Hubert H. Humphrey fellowship program 2017-2018, in Washington, DC.
 
Nabil Seyidov is the National Coordinator of Azerbaijan NGO Alliance for Children’s Rights, an umbrella organization with over 40 NGOs and youth groups working with and for children in Azerbaijan. Mr Seydov is a founding member and has served as the presidentofReliable Future Social Initiatives NGO, where he currently continues to serve as advisor to the board of the organization and consultant on international affairs and child rights issues. Mr Seydov is a physician by profession and continues to work as a doctor in private and government hospitals in Baku.
 
 
Aida Muradyan is the president of Child Protection Network in Armenia since 2017.  Since 2014 she has been working as a Child Protection Program Manager at World Vision Armenia.  Ms Muradyan worked at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees office in Yerevan as a lawyer-consultant for refugee and asylum seekers issues and has also served as the Ombudsman’s chief advisor on children’s rights (between 2011-2014). Ms Muradyan is a licensed advocate, member of the State Chamber of Advocates in Armenia.
