World Vision Romania has the honor of organizing a roundtable event around the theme "The role of institutional collaboration - an effective mechanism to prevent school drop-out". It is organized with the help of the Ministry of Education and Research and the Institute of Educational Sciences.

The purpose of this event is to present a recently issued report by the World Vision Foundation Romania on the results of the roundtables held in the counties of Cluj, Dolj, Valcea, Ialomita Vaslui on dropout prevention and prevention mechanisms identified in rural areas (the latest studies and research conducted on this topic by Unicef, WVR, ISE, etc.). The event also aims to combine joint efforts of central players, civil and academic society, representatives of parents and pupils, and help them to reach common understanding of how this issue could be fully diagnosed. Socio-educational aspects that precede school abandonment will be addressed as well, according to the strategy to reduce early school drop-out in 2014-2020.

With this initiative World Vision hopes to create a working group of experts to consistently meet twice a year and be close to the Ministry of Education in order to support and help implement the strategy on reducing early school abandonment, especially for rural areas, and of course to help increase the quality of education in Romania.
