Terre des hommes Albania (Tdh), in collaboration with Defence for Children International the Netherlands (DFC-NL) will organize a roundtable discussion on “Protection of the rights of children in conflict with the law” on 12th of March, 10am, at Mondial Hotel, Dea Conference Room.

The main purpose of this event is to create a platform for discussion and future collaboration by bringing together key actors from juvenile justice and those of the defence system in Albania. Certainly, the event will present the work of the Albanian Government, the support of the Dutch Government and the main findings and recommendations of the Albanian national report on strengths and weaknesses of the current child protection and justice systems for underage children in conflict with the law.

The discussion, to be held on Tuesday, will be attended by employees of governmental institutions that are linked to these children, professionals and psychologists, international organizations and representatives of foreign embassies in Tirana.

This table is just one of the activities under the program “Child Protection System Strengthening for Children in Conflict with the Law”, funded by the Dutch Government under the MATRA program. The project aims to support the development of the rule of law within Ukraine, Georgia, Albania and Kosovo by improving the implementation of children’s rights in the child protection and justice systems to ensure that children in conflict with the law are better protected.

Your participation at this meeting is highly appreciated.
