“Ensuring Access to Justice for all Children: Towards Non-discriminatory and Inclusive Child Justice Systems”

The World Congress on Justice With Children is an international milestone that gathers children alongside policymakers, legal practitioners, academics, and civil society representatives with relevant work experience to influence Child Justice, explore best practices, foster scientific cooperation, and raise awareness on child-friendly justice.

2021 World Congress will take place online from the 15th to the 20th of November 2021 is hosted by the Federal Mexican Supreme Court of Justice and is organised by the Global Initiative on Justice with Children, with the support of UNICEF and the Office of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Violence Against Children. The Global initiative is led by a group of international organisations including Terre des hommes, Penal Reform International, the International Association of Youth and Family Magistrates and the International Institute for Children’s Rights.

The 2021 World Congress will offer a dedicated space to policy makers, academics, representatives of civil society and to children themselves, to discuss the most current issues which concern children in contact with the law. The World Congress programme contains international and regional plenary sessions, regional workshops and a special event on 20 November for the 32st anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

This year, the Congress is free of charge and participants will receive a certificate of attendance! The World Congress will have simultaneous interpretation in the following languages: English, French, Spanish and Arabic.
