We are sharing this lecture by sociologist Loïc Wacquant on the topic of "Advanced Marginality, Ethnoracial Divisions and the Strategies of the State." The lecture is in English and is 2 hours long.
Wacquant discusses "what happened after the fall of the era of consensual solutions," and does an analysis of "new forms of advanced frontiers" in the form of historical and structural analysis. In other words, the sociologist points out the increased ethnic division within cities and disciplinary and repressive state policies against the marginalized society or the working population, which is forced to live in insecurity. This is a process of negative socialization that inevitably affects the development of young members of these marginalized groups.
