This video is addressed to parents who intend to go abroad to work. It contains several recommendations for the protection of children who remain at home, such as the need to tell the child about the intention to go abroad well before leaving, to talk with him/her about the real reasons and motivation for going abroad, to avoid making the child accountable for parents' decisions, also the need to establish guardianship of the child, and other recommendations.
Also, this information may be useful to child protection professionals in their work with families affected by migration.
