Nick Sharratt is a renowned illustrator of children’s books and an ambassador for Theirworld. He started to draw in his childhood and felt that via drawing he could express his feelings and could be anyone he wanted.
Based on his personal experiences he supports children with illustration workshops and helps them to express their feelings during difficult periods. For example, in 2016 he run a workshop for Syrian refugee children who are out of school and promoted the importance of education.
Now because of the coronavirus pandemic he started a campaign, called #StillLearning, for children helping them to express their feelings and what they learned during the lockdown. He said about his experiences: "In lockdown I’ve learned that it’s possible to make changes for the better, to a lifestyle that I thought was set. I'm going to stick with those changes."
Let's join the campaign and ask children to draw a self-portrait, add where they live or where they have been staying recently and two or three things they’ve been learning about during lockdown. Then share on social media with the #StillLearning hashtag!
