The Bulgarian National Network for Children and their youth network "Megaphone" produced this film. The young people took on the writing of the script and deciding on messages they wanted professionals, adults working with children to hear. The video was produced with the support of Terre des hommes.
There is a team of 4 young people behind the Megaphone movie. They come from different organizations - members of the national network for children and all 4 youngsters are also part of the Youth Network Megaphone. They came up with the idea of the whole movie message, the script and the questions for the interviews and the survey. In the beginning the team wanted to raise the issue of lack of knowledge among Bulgarians in relation to the children’s rights. Therefore it was decided to conduct a survey. Then the young people wanted to illustrate different scenes in which a certain right is being violated. This is how the idea of the 4 short stories was born. Those stories came from real examples and cases that the kids have stumbled upon. After being given the main subject of the video, the team came up with the idea to conduct interviews with key figures from the Secretariat in the National network for Children and also from few members of the Youth Network Megaphone. And by those exact questions, the team wanted to illustrate the interaction and cooperation between youngsters and adults. In order to emphasize that, they also wanted to include some highlights from the Autumn School for rights that the NNC orchestrates. Together with the help of NNC staff and the services of a movie director, the young people finalized the first movie about child participation and what it looks like in the National network for children.
