70% budget cut ‘did not affect prevention of human trafficking’

‘Malta Today’ reports that the Ministry of Home Affairs in Malta responded to the US TIP report, enlisting all the actions the Maltese government has taken to improve identification and referral of victims. Besides the issue of the budget cuts, the TIP report did mention that no child victims were identified – which may be a strong indication that the identification of victims needs to be improved.
