The event was organized by the Department of Social Work and Policy, University of Tirana, in the framework of the Erasmus + project "Improving Child Protection and Welfare in Europe (through curricula improvement)".
Many non-governmental organisations across Europe have identified the need for a common set of core modules to inform the professional development and intervention with children. This project was designed to initiate a collaboration between eight European higher education institutions to develop a set of child protection and wellbeing materials that can be incorporated into social work curricula provision.
One of the main activities of the project was to develop scenario based learning through which the students develop knowledge and skills to apply when working with children and families.
Partners in this initiative are: University of Tirana, of Pristina, of Stirling, Terre des hommes Foundation, Chisinau Ion Creanga State Pedagogical University, Univerzitet U Beogradu, Universitetea Din Bucuresti, Nov Bulgarski Universitet and University of Kent.
