Around 8,000 Asian, Middle-Eastern and North-African migrants fail to cross the Croatian border and are sent back to Bosnia every time they retry. They call their attempts the ‘Game’, which has also taken control over school in migrant children’s lives. Despite the numerous accusations, the Croatian police deny behaving violently towards the illegal migrants.

Many of the refugees staying in Bosnia live in nylon tents, 1990s’ post-war factories and houses, heat food (received by the International Organisation for Migration) and cook on improvised fires.

“What fault is it of ours with all these children, where are our human rights,” cries Husein Halaf Jabar, a 52-year old Afghan migrant father.
