A representative of the Know-How Center (Bulgaria) took part in the Eleventh European Forum on the Rights of the Child held on 7-8th November 2017 in Brussels, Belgium, organized by the European Commission. The European Forum on the Rights of the Child is an annual conference organized by the European Commission. More than 300 Member State representatives (MS), the European Commission (EC), the European Parliament (EP), UNHCR, UNICEF, ombudsmen for children, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, law enforcement practitioners, social workers, with children and EU institutions. The aim of the forum was to discuss and promote good practices in the area of children's rights and their effective protection participated in the conference. The presentations and discussions were organized in four parallel sessions: children in conflict with the law; protection of children in the context of migration; children in institutions (deprived of parental care, disabled or accommodated for reasons related to their mental health); children whose parents are in prison.
