Child migrants 'forced into prostitution and hard labour' as unaccompanied arrivals to EU surge

The Telegraph reports that unaccompanied migrant children are being forced into exploitation and child labor (including child sexual exploitation) upon arrival in Europe. Many are informed that they must work to repay 'debts' owed to human traffickers. Italy has seen dramatic increases in the number of unaccompanied migrant children; as many as 10,500 have arrived between January and June. Many of the children feel too afraid to speak out and fear for both themselves and their families back home.
