Children 'trapped in British limbo'

12 Nov 2013

‘’ reports that the United Kingdom is failing to protect the rights of migrant children according to a recent report. The UK’s new immigration bill, which is expected to become law, may negatively impact the rights of migrant children and fail to uphold the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Over half of the migrant children in the UK were born there but are now finding themselves trapped in ‘legal limbo’ due to inadequate legal advice, high application fees and legal aid being taken away for immigration cases.
