'Malta Today' reports that Terre des Hommes has called for a ‘radical’ change in the EU’s migration policies so as to better reflect human rights. TdH invites the EU to focus its cooperation in Mediterannean countries by supporting local civil society and democracy with more resources.

Terre des Hommes warned that 3,000 out of the 12,000 unaccompanied minors that arrived in South Italy since the start of 2015 have escaped from social services facilities and for that EU must invest in Europe to protect and integrate migrants, in particular children and youth.
