‘Today’s Zaman’ reports on the call of the Council of Europe on Turkey to pay attention and fight more effectively human trafficking. The Council of Europe is administering the European Court of Human Rights and also created the Convention on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings. Although Turkey is a member of the council, it is the only country which signed, but did not ratify the convention. Therefore, the council urges Turkey to ratify it as soon as possible in order to help to prevent human trafficking. Turkey is one of the main roads through which human traffickers bring their victims to EU.
