Opening Doors campaign website announced new facts in the area of child protection reform in 16 European countries in 2017 - "the de-institutionalization process continues, but efforts continue to be made in Europe."

The latest compilation of data identifies key achievements and gaps towards DI reforms in each participating country across member states, pre-accession countries and countries within the EU neighborhood. The evidence focuses on policies that regulate deinstitutionalization and prevention of child abandonment; engagement of civil society; existing know-how; access to community-based services, and use of EU funds.

List of 2017 country factsheets can be found here.
