Irish Examiner reports that the Council of Europe investigation team arrived in Ireland to review Ireland's efforts to combat human trafficking here.

The Migrant Rights Centre Ireland said human trafficking can often result in people being forced into slave labour. The Centre's spokesperson said forced labour is occurring across a whole range of industries. She said domestic work, particularly in the case of au pairs, was resulting in forced labour. Also the restaurant, agriculture, retail and construction sectors were problematic.
