[European Union] 11th European Forum on the rights of the child in Brussels

European Commission organised the 11th European Forum on the rights of the child that was held in Albert Borschette conference centre in Brussels, Belgium on 7th and 8th November 2017. The specific focus of the this year`s Forum was on children deprived of their liberty and alternatives to detention.

The European Forum on the rights of the child is an annual conference organised by the European Commission. It gathers key actors from EU Member States (as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland and the Western Balkans), international organisations, NGOs, Ombudspersons for children, practitioners, academics and EU institutions to promote good practice on the rights of the child. The Forum aimed to foster the exchange of good practices, to facilitate connections and inter-sectoral and inter-agency levels both nationally and transnationally, and to promote more effective cooperation and coordination.

Croatian expert from Child and Youth Protection Center of Zagreb participated in the event.
