European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) will take part in the panel hosted today at the European Parliament on the topic of ‘Witnessed Domestic Violence: An EU roadmap to protect children from all forms of domestic violence’. FRA will talk about their research related to the child-friendly justice, and the findings from the interviews they carried out with children witnesses or victims of domestic violence. FRA representatives will underline necessary procedural safeguards must be put in place, to ensure children in criminal and civil proceedings in the context of domestic violence feel safe and comfortable.
