[Finland] GRETA publishes second report on Finland: Anti-trafficking expert group urges Finland to improve the identification of child victims of human trafficking

The Council of Europe’s Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA) has published the second evaluation report on Finland. The report highlighted the progress been made in different areas, such as developing the legislative framework for combating trafficking in human beings, in conducting research, raising awareness and providing training to a range of professionals.

Beyond the progress been made, GRETA, raised the concern towards Finish authorities to take steps forward in improving the proactive identification of victims of Human Trafficikng and the need to share information between relavant actors. Also of note, is that GRETA stressed the fact that the authorities must ensure that “specific needs and is guaranteed to all victims of trafficking across the country, regardless of the service provider and place of residence.”
