[International] International Day for Street Children

10 Apr 2018

In more than 130 countries, since 2011, around the world, April the 12th is marked as International Day for Street Children. Previous year was significant since the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child adopted  its General Comment  on Children in Street Situations that provides authoritative guidance to States to act in line with the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Before signing the General Comment, the UN Committee for the Rights of the Child consulted children living and working on the street all over the world. This is especially important because children must be involved in decisions and plans that concern them.

Center for Youth Integration is welcoming all of its friends to join them on April the 12th in Kafe bar "16" (46 Gospodar Jovanova Street) from 16 pm to 19 pm to  give a louder voice to the millions of street children all around the world so their rights cannot be ignored.
