The Safeguarding Resource and Support Hub (RSH) is a new global programme that aims to support organisations in the aid sector to strengthen their safeguarding policy and practice against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment (SEAH). RSH has launched an Online Hub – https://safeguardingsupporthub.org/, offering relevant and accessible safeguarding materials and opportunities for meaningful engagement.

The programme is funded by the UK Department for International Development and delivered by a consortium of Options, Social Development Direct, GCPS Consulting, Terre des hommes, and Sightsavers. Terre des hommes leads the development and curation of the Online Hub, tapping into its six-year experience of building and growing ChildHub, Europe’s child protection community of 10.000 registered members.

Any individual or organisation can freely access the Online Hub to learn, share and improve their approaches to SEAH and safeguarding more broadly. In addition to guidance, tools and research, the Hub features a directory of quality assured safeguarding service providers and will organise live events such as webinars and podcasts.

In the light of significant concerns about the increasing rates of SEAH during the current global pandemic, the Hub has a dedicated COVID-19 page with resources that organisations can use to learn more about how to manage the risks of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment.

The launch of the global Hub is accompanied by the launch on 8 June of the first National Hub – Ethiopia Hub, that offers both virtual and face-to-face contextually relevant resources and services in local languages.

You are invited to explore the Hub - https://safeguardingsupporthub.org/,  have a tour of the website, browse the quality assured learning materials and register to have full access to website offerings and become part of a community of practice. You can also listen to Episode 1 of the RSH Podcast Series “Safeguarding Matters”, join the first webinar on the 9th of June and subscribe to receive newsletters to make sure you are up to date on the Hub activities!
