'Safeguarding Young People in Care' is inviting those working with young people in care to take part in a pilot of an online course.
Many professionals working in residential care or with foster parents find it difficult to talk about and deal with sensitive subjects of relationships, intimacy, and sexuality. This is why a free online course was developed to help professionals build competences on these subjects.
To make sure the course is useful and valuable, 'Safeguarding Young People in Care' welcomes your and your team’s input. The Online Course consists of five modules addressing sexuality, values, sexual development, sexual identity and risk behaviour. All the modules are maximum 1 hour long so you and your team can complete a module in a team meeting.
The Pilot will take place between March 1 and April 15, 2018.
If you are interested in participating in the pilot of the online course, please send an email to Gitte Riis Hansen at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 15 february 2018 and confirm your participation. Afterwards you will receive a mail with login information and a template for feedback.
