Save the Children with the support of other aid organizations is urging Italian government to allow minors rescued by the Dutch-flagged rescue ship Sea Watch 3 in the Mediterranean to enter the port. Doctor is warning the ship is crowded with not enough cover so many of them wait on the rain and wind, with no space to rest for days now. The Italian Interior Minister  Matteo Salvini remains persistent in saying they will not allow the ship to the port. The Mayor of a Sicilian coastal city Syracuse said the rescued minors are welcome in their city and some of the citizens organized actions of support for the refugees and put pressure on their government to act swiftly. This is one of many episodes resulting from the failure of the EU and member states to agree on how those reaching shores will be reallocated within the EU, following the similar situation earlier this month when a group of rescued refugees, including women and children in need of medial help saved by the same ship remained in the sea for weeks until the member states agreed on the reallocation.
