[Kosovo] KOMF's Child Protection Workshop

Coalition of NGOs on Child Protection in Kosovo - KOMF, in partnership and supported by the project 'Stop violence against children' supported by EU and UNICEF, conducted workshops with key actors of the institutions and civil society in the municipalities of Prishtina, Gjilan, Ferizaj, Prizren and Mitrovica on the topic "Referral of child victims of violence, identification of needs and adequate services", announces KOMF.

The aim of the workshops was to strengthen the capacities of institutions and NGOs in referring cases of child victims of violence, identifying needs and related services, and enhancing cooperation and also coordination between professionals and organizations working in the field of child protection.

The agenda included discussions about physical, sexual, psychological abuse and neglect of children.

Participants in the workshop were representatives of the institutions responsible for the identification, referral and protection of child victims of violence, including representatives from the Directorates of Education, Centers for Social Work, Victims Advocates, Probation Service, Kosovo Police and non-governmental organizations.
