[Kosovo] Terre des hommes continues the capacity building of teaching assistants of Learning After School Classes

During the last week of October 2017, Terre des hommes – Delegation in Kosovo has organized training of teaching assistants of LASC of Gjakova, Prizren, Peja, Klina, Ferizaj, Vushtrri, Podujeva, Mitrovica and Prishtina regarding the Guidelines of the Curriculum of Learning After School Classes (LASC).

The curriculum of LASC is reorganized based on the existing materials of the program of Terre des hommes and a clear framework for implementation of the program is established related to seven curriculum areas with specific themes for each area including learning results for each month during the school year. Special attention has been paid to preliminary planning of teaching themes, cross – cutting themes, critical thinking and observation of individual achievements and learning objectives of the work with children.

Capacity building of teaching assistants engaged within the LASC is an integral part of the program of Terre des hommes aiming to strengthen their proffesional capacity through individual approach of the work with children and promotion of social inclusion in order to ensure sustainability of the intervention of the program.
