A street children’s center was was inaugurated in the Moldovan capital. The new structure would work subordinated to the municipal department for the protection of child’s rights and implied providing information and psycho-pedagogical assistance to children at risk, children suffering from violence, children neglected by parents, street children and beggar children - whether they are from Chisinau or from other dicistricts of the country. 

The service also involves information activities directly on the street, as well as socio-educational measures to make children in risk situation  go to community centers. The center is a day service with a capacity of 15 seats and it is equipped with a gym, a bedroom, a kitchen, so that the child can eat, have a shower and is offered confort and safety. More psychologists and social assistants will work here. 

”There is a problem with the street children in the city.This centre is a solution to offer comfort and safety to children at risk. They can come here and can benefit from every support, so that they feel in safety and protected, no matter whether they are from Chisinau or other districts of the country,'' noted the general mayor of Chisinau, Ruslan Codreanu, quoted by the Moldpress.
