Findings of the largest post-census survey on ”a range of indicators in the areas of health, education, child protection, and HIV / AIDS” have been presented at the regional conference in Tivat, organized by the Statistics Office and UNICEF.
Following the research on the general population and the Roma settlements level, there was a discussion on breastfeeding, early education, immunization, and violent disciplining of children and the progress that has been made. The findings showed that violence against children is still a crucial problem.
UNICEF Ambassador to Montenegro Osama Makawi Kogali said that there was no progress in the last five years in terms of violence against children, which appears in the form of psychological or physical punishment. This problem is present especially in the southern region of Montenegro.
