On July 1, the implementation of the project "Joining forces to end Child Sexual Abuse" started, which the Network of Organizations for Children of Serbia (MODS) implements in partnership with the institution of the Protector of Citizens of the Republic of Serbia.

The project will contribute to changes at the level of practical policies in the field of sexual violence and exploitation of children.

Through the project, an initiative for advocating policy changes based on evidence ("advocacy-based") in the field of child sexual abuse will be implemented.

The basis for advocacy will be the results of a global survey on sexual violence against children (Out of the Shadows Index), which is conducted in 60 countries, including Serbia.

The Out of the Shadows Index, developed by The Economist Intelligence Unit, measures how national actors in 60 countries deal with child sexual abuse and exploitation.

The index, which focuses on policies, practices and standards, indicates what needs to be done to achieve the United Nations' goal of ending all forms of violence against children by 2030.
