New project launched to protect rights of refugee children

‘Family Law Week’ reports that a new initiative, called The Refugee Children’s Rights Project will use strategic litigation to ensure children’s rights are upheld not just to UK standards, but to international standards as well. The project aims to amend the situation of children in need; many immigrant children are still receiving inadequate decisions that do not address their needs, or the serious risks they face, and are being given short-term permission to stay rather than being recognized as refugees.
