THE PILOT TEST FOR PISA INTERNATIONAL EVALUATION

Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Arsim Bajrami visited the students of the secondary vocational school "Gjin Gazulli" in Prishtina during the pilot of the PISA international assessment, who was subjected to the test at the premises of the American University of Kosova.

On this occasion, Minister Bajrami said that he expects better results at this piloting stage, comparable to the results of European Union countries.

Minister Bajrami emphasized that the Ministry of Education is committed in raising the responsibility of students and teachers in achieving the best results in teaching and learning that will definitely result in the next international evaluation "PISA 2018”.

“I'm sure that a trend of rising results will start. I believe in the work we have done with teachers and students and will start a process of gradual quality improvement. We will offer a stimulating package for our students and teachers. This test undoubtedly creates an international image for the education system", said Minister Bajrami.

Further on, Minister Bajrami said that in piloting the PISA Test in 2015 as if there was no sensitization of students and teachers, while adding that, in addition to this pilot project will be undertaken other activities in teacher training and the provision of scholarships for good students.

At this stage of the PISA pilot testing, over 2000 students have been selected from majority of Kosova municipalities, who will be subjected to the test within this week and next week.
