The Romanian National Council for Refugees (CNRR) published on their website an in-depth and thorough report on the integration of refugees in Romania has been published in English and Romanian. The study was carried out with a purpose of analysing the factors affecting the quality of life of refugees already granted asylum in Romania. Existing data, as well as focus groups with refugees and service providers were used to shed light on the challenges they face. Furthermore, the report details the three mechanisms of integration into Romanian society: exposure to culture and institutions; socialization within the country of origin, and the refugee’s representation in Romania compared to other Western European countries.
