Between November 19 and 26, the 9th edition of Takeover Day took place. This is the campaign of Terre des hommes Foundation, that promotes children's right to choose.

The pandemic did not prevent the development of this edition, which was adapted entirely online. On the one hand, the Foundation mediated online meetings between children and 10 personalities from different fields, who agreed to be mentors for a day: Amir Sagron, Deputy Ambassador of Israel in Bucharest, Oana Giurgiu, film producer, Tudor Roșu, Head of Eastern Europe Delegation - Terre des hommes Foundation, Dan Andrei Savenco, handball player, Kirsten Theuns, Head of Southern Europe Delegation, Terre des hommes, Lia Bugnar, actress, director, playwright, Lorin Niculae, Associate Doctor of Architecture, Rozana Mihalache, artistic director and poet, Indi Catrina, Service Operation Manager and Ovidiu Vanghele-investigative journalist.

On the other hand, about 30 teachers from all over the country organized on their own meetings between children and local mentors (also online). At Takeover Day by Terre des hommes, child-mentor meetings are encouraged to be, as far as possible, the beginning of a long-term mentoring relationship. Takeover Day is a project that Terre des hommes Foundation implements since 2012 in order to form generations of young people who are involved in society and who are aware of their rights, starting with the right to choose their future.
