[Serbia] The third local training in Serbia „Children’s Rights in Serbia and Local Community Resources“

The third local training in Serbia „Children’s Rights in Serbia and Local Community Resources“  was held on November 4th in Novi Sad, in cooperation with local resource persons, Milenka Matić and Dunja Bekvalac , and with organization Know How Center.

Participants were post graduate students of pedagogy and psychology from University of Novi Sad, so this training was focused on future professionals.

Main goals of the training were:

  • To exchange experience and knowledge on ChildHub Platform
  • To improve general knowledge on human and children rights
  • To improve awareness of the importance and ways of support within the humanistic professions
  • To introduce participants with multisectoral approach in order to protect children’s rights

 

This particular group of participants was highly motivated to learn and establish professional competences on this and similar topics, and the conclusion is that they should receive more training in the future. During the training students and representatives of different students organization decided on collaborating over marking and promoting November 20th, International Day on Children’s Rights. Participants stated several times during the training that they didn’t have opportunity to explore topic of Children Rights during their studies at the University.
