In cooperation with the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad, the Center for Youth Integration organized a local training on Child Rights in the Social Protection System in the Republic of Serbia, as a part of the ChildHub project.

The training was attended by 13 students of 1st and 2nd year of studies, future experts in the field of social work. Through interactive work with coaches, the participants of the training theoretically dealt with the concept of children's rights, the social protection system in the Republic of Serbia, and a special part of the training was dedicated to the Convention on Children's Rights. Future experts also had the opportunity to attend interactive workshops on the topic of participation and non-discrimination, and through case studies analysis, they received practical tools and guidelines that would be of great benefit to them in future work.

Realized training consisted of two segments. The aforementioned activities were part of offline while the online activity concerned the completion of the e-course "Risk Assessment" that can be found on our ChildHub webpage. After the completion of both activities, the students received a certificate of completion of the training.

The training was held by highly experienced trainers, Dunja Bekvalac from the Center for Family Accommodation and Adoption in Novi Sad, and Milenka Matić from the volunteer association "SOS-KOS". The group was very motivated and engaged, and praised numerous interactive workshops and group work sessions organized during the training, confirming this is a good way to exchange experience and learn new skills.
