ChildPact reports about the informal settlement in Albania, in Shkoze, where 229 Roma people, including 120 children live. Child labour and forced begging is ripe among the children of the settlement, as families live in abject poverty. In January a fire destroyed eight shacks, making their inhabitants homeless. ARSIS was able to accommodate some of the families. The children of the settlement can only have access to school thanks to the efforts of NGOs.
