Annual report 2012

Terre des Hommes published its annual report 2012. Please find the reports in English, French and German here. For the first time in its history, the number of Terre des hommes beneficiaries (children, adolescents and parents alike) has surpassed 2 million people. The increase in the number of beneficiaries in the health field is due to projects developed in India, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso and Afghanistan, as well as the integration of activities related to water and sanitation. A total of 96 health and child protection projects have been implemented in 34 countries. To achieve all this, we have relied on the efforts of 1,400 skilled and dedicated associates, both in Switzerland and in the field. Furthermore in 2012, Terre des Hommes intervened in the area of healthcare and helped more than 1,5 million beneficiaries with 34 projects in 17 countries. By providing aid destined for children who are victims of malnutrition and for expectant mothers, access to waters to communities, and operations to help ill children, Tdh improved the health of the most vulnerable.
