Latest trends and protection measures available

The study provides a situational analysis of the migration trends in Albania and the impact on those taking risky routes to find better opportunities, in particular on children. It also provides recommendations on the key areas in which the migration policies in Albania could focus on.

The report was the outcome of the work of a team of researchers: Dr Zana Vathi (lead researcher), Dr Iva Zajmi (researcher) and 4 local researchers: Ana Majko (Tirana and Fier), Enkeleda Sako (Fier), Celstina Mucollari (Lezha and Shkoder), and Nertila Lera (Korce).

The initiative was supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) through the project “Improving the living conditions and reintegrating migrant children in Albania”.
