This report is a part of worldwide consultations with street involved children.
The European consultation for children and young people living in street situations took place in Brussels, Belgium on the 18th and 19th of April, 2016 and it was organised by Dynamo International in partnership with the Consortium for Street Children.
Children from following countries were included:
Albania, Austria, Belgium, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Norway, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, the United Kingdom, Slovakia and Switzerland.
During the conference, participants were asked to work on three rights from the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Items that were discussed with children:
1. The right to freedom of assembly and association (Article 15)
2. The right to special protection and assistance for children deprived of a family environment (article 20)
3. The right to an adequate standard of living (article 27)
4. Developing long term holistic plans so that children do not build strong connections with the street.
