Report of the Secretary-General

Pursuant to resolution 51/3 of the Commission on the Status of Women, the present report gives an overview of the consideration of the issue of forced marriage at the international level, and the evolving approach for addressing it. It provides information on the legal and policy measures of States and the activities undertaken by entities of the United Nations system to address forced marriage of the girl child. The report concludes with recommendations for future action.
