research on gender-based violence in the digital space

NGO "Atina" is coming out with the latest research entitled "In front of the screen" on gender-based violence in the digital space.

624 girls aged 18 and 19 from 24 high schools from Belgrade, Nis and Subotica participated in this research conducted by the Association of Citizens "Atina" in the first half of 2022.

The issue of security took a key place in the research due to the risk of digital violence, which is higher among girls, and the results indicate that the largest percentage of respondents (78%) believe that they are not as safe as boys.

More than half of the respondents who participated in the research (53.2 percent of them) state that they have survived violence in the digital space, as well as that they know a peer who has survived digital violence.
