An analysis of Nordic country responses to asylum-seeking children

This research analyses the situation in Nordic countries - Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden - in relation to the protection of rights of asylum-seeking children. For this purpose authors reviewed national legislation, policies in this field as well as how those policies are being implemented in practice and good practices. Authors identified gaps in national standards, compared to the international requirements and made recommendations for policy makers on how to improve legal and policy frameworks and ensure rights of asylum-seeking children are respected.
