This report combines the findings of interviews with experts and desk-based research on educational integration systems in five European countries (Romania, Austria, Bulgaria, Spain and Italy) , to provide a framework for the “ROBIN - Reinforcing competences to build Inclusion through a new learning methodology” project.

It provides a comprehensive overview of programmes, policies and legislation for the educational integration of children on the move, ethnic minorities and early school leavers. It describes existing systems for Second Chance education and inclusion, alongside current innovative educational methodologies and practices, funded and delivered at multiple scales. Best practices and strengths, as well as gaps and weaknesses  are identified and recommendations are made for areas of progression in educational integration systems.
