The Children's Report from Moldova addressed to the UN Committee on Rights of the Child is developed by a group of children, called the Reflection Group, which worked from July 2014 to August 2016, supported by the Child Rights Information Center (CRIC). The report reflects children's vision on how the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of the Child are respected in Moldova.
The report reflects the views of more than 900 children: boys and girls, from rural and urban areas, who live with their parents or have their parents working abroad, with health problems, in conflict with the law, teenage mothers, of different ethnicities etc., from about 20 communities from Moldova.
Children included in the report information and data on the following monitored rights:
- the right to education;
- the right to protection from abuse, violence and neglect;
- the right to protection from economic/labour exploitation;
- the right to health, the legal issue of adolescents' sexual and reproductive health;
- the right to a family environment.
