The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) had released its 2017 issue outlining state security expectations as well as a guide to assist non-legislative actors to implement well defined youth-protection protocols for individuals aged 25 and under, along with children.
The objective of this outline is to see the operational works of actors and institutions whose works are devoted to young people are:
- Assuming an adequate role in defending youth and young adults from exploitation
- Ensuring the physical protection of those participating in such works and activities
- Considering particular concerns in safeguarding this bracket of individuals
- Fulfilling the positive aspects present within such roles
- Ensuring the alignment of procedural works with laws pertaining to the United Kingdom
These guidelines will assist individuals who are employed within this sector, however, it is imperative for these individuals who provide services that offer such assistance to properly identify components that compromise safeguarding practices, in order avoid anxious feelings and uncertainty relating to such work.
