The idea for this manual came during one of the sessions of the Council of experts of the Center for Children, Youth and Family in Velika Gorica. It all started from remembering how the city developed over the last seven years. The team from the Center wanted to share their experience and knowledge to help others in their effort to implement this kind of work.

The manual is  designed for professionals who work with children, young people and families - in family centers, school system and kindergartens, justice, social welfare, health care organizations - and anyone who wants to learn from others.

Center for Children, Youth and Family in Velika Gorica is the first and only institution for children, youth and the family in the Republic of Croatia set up by local communities.
